Yesterday's news of Fox doing a remake of Luther has quickly been tempered by less unnecessary news from series creator Neil Cross: he's also doing another a couple more episodes of the original show. He'll reportedly return along with star Idris Elba for two hour-long episodes to wrap up the series sometime next year. "Ever since we said goodbye to John Luther on Southwark Bridge, there's hardly been a minute when I didn't wonder what happened next," said Cross. "So I decided to find out. We're putting the band back together; Luther is coming back where he belongs. Back to the BBC. Back to London. And back to work." And then to Fox, where he doesn't belong but could maybe eat up a time slot until Gordon Ramsay comes up with a way to do a Masterchef season with dog chefs.
