Originally announced back in 2009, Nebraska director Alexander Payne's shrinking man movie is back in development now that Marvel has validated that shrinking guys are cool. According to Deadline, 20th Century Fox is moving forward on Payne's Downsizing, signing Matt Damon to take on the lead once attached to Paul Giamatti. In the film, written by Payne and his Sideways co-writer Jim Taylor, Damon will reportedly star as a guy who "realizes he would have a better life if he were to shrink himself." Like, you know when you order a personal pizza at a place, then it comes out and you're like, "Whoa, that's the 'personal' pizza? This is enough to take home and have for lunch tomorrow also!" Matt Damon would have that with everything. So he's kind of on to something here.
