Cuba Gooding Jr. To Play O.J. Simpson

December 10, 2014

Cuba Gooding Jr., the actor who won an Academy Award before doing Boat Trip, Norbit, and Radio, has found a use for his talent at playing a charismatic football player and then fucking everything up. He'll reportedly play O.J. Simpson in American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, the latest U.S.-based anthology series from American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy. Frequently-interesting biopic screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (Ed Wood, Man on the Moon, The People vs. Larry Flynt) have written the first two hours of the show, and AHS's Sarah Paulson is attached to play Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark. Basically, it will be like American Horror Story, except now the horror is that this dude murdered his wife and then did not go to jail for that.
