'Lego Movie' Guys Made a Ridiculous Fake Trailer That's in 'Annie'

Phil Lord and Chris Miller truly know no bounds when it comes to improving upon a desperate, studio-mandated film built almost entirely on nostalgic name recognition. They've done it on The Lego Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and two Jump Street films, and now they've somehow also managed it on the Annie remake. Though the duo didn't actually direct that film--you can thank Friends with Benefits' Will Gluck for that--what they did apparently contribute is this trailer for Annie's fake film-within-the-film, MoonQuake Lake.

Sort of a loose send-up of Twilight, MoonQuake sees Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher as lovers star-crossed by the fact that Kunis is a moon-person who, logically, weeps glowing tears. Rihanna co-stars alongside a fish woman of some sort. By most accounts, this is pretty much the only decent part of Annie. Have a look at it below.
