Amazon has announced a massive, sure to be controversial new offering in development: actually asking customers to put on clothes and leave the house for something. Amazon Studios today announced plans to get into the feature film industry, expanding their original offerings beyond streaming series and into theaters. The company will reportedly both produce and acquire films for theatrical distribution, Amazon Studios VP Ray Price explaining that their goal is to put out up to a dozen films a year, with production on the first of these starting later in 2015. After hitting theaters, the films will then head to Amazon Prime, where it's said the original movies will arrive within four to eight weeks. Just imagine... next time you're talking about watching an Amazon movie, it might not be because you're divulging your interest in muscular fetish pornography.
