John Travolta is joining Cuba Gooding Jr. and David Schwimmer in the O.J. Simpson miniseries that will truly test how much we're willing to be nostalgic about people that were regrettably famous circa 1995. Travolta will reportedly play defense lawyer Robert Shapiro alongside Gooding's O.J., Schwimmer's Robert Kardashian, and Sarah Paulson's Marcia Clark in American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, the latest improbable, U.S.-based anthology from American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy. The series will mark Travolta's first regular television role since Welcome Back, Kotter and the first time since Face/Off that he'll make audiences think, "Jesus, this guy is overacting even worse than the guy playing the murderer."
