Simon Pegg To Give 'Star Trek 3' Script All She's Got

January 22, 2015

Though Edgar Wright was once being tossed around as a potential director for Star Trek 3, it seems that his is not the Cornetto Trilogy creative voice the series is getting. Instead, it's Simon Pegg who will be guiding the Enterprise, Deadline reporting that he will be expanding his duties to the task of writing the 13th Trek's screenplay. Pegg--who co-wrote most of Wright's films, as well as Run, Fatboy, Run and Paul--will be paired with fellow writer Doug Jung, creator of the TNT series Dark Blue. Finally, it will be Scotty's turn to get in on some of that sweet, green, Orion action.
