No doubt attracted to the medium's youth and uninhibited, anything-goes spirit, Woody Allen is headed to streaming television. Amazon Studios announced today that they've signed Allen to create his first ever series, coming exclusively to Amazon Prime. Allen will write and direct the still-untitled half-hour series, but there's not yet a cast or synopsis. In a statement, Allen admitted, "I don't know how I got into this. I have no ideas and I'm not sure where to begin." Just remember, Woody: Life doesn't imitate art; it imitates bad online subscription video services.
