Hoping to get another job lined up in case his driving career should fade, Tyrese Gibson has handed in his application early to take over the Ryan Reynolds position over at Warner Bros.
No stranger to putting himself out there--he sent Tarantino an audition tape in a failed attempt at getting the Django lead--Tyrese seems to have quietly started a campaign to now get himself in the title role of the planned Green Lantern reboot. The film isn't scheduled until 2020, but already Tyrese has started a push for the lead on his Instagram. There, since Saturday he's posted over a dozen pieces of fan art showing himself as the character. To several of these renderings, he's added a quote--attributed to himself: "I am fully committed to suiting up for this adventure." Take note, Warner: an actor is willing to star in a superhero movie.
