Woody Allen's Latest Gets Distribution, Unexpected Title

January 30, 2015

For the first time since 2009, Woody Allen will have a movie title that doesn't sound like a drug store perfume he picked up as a last minute Valentine for Soon-Yi. According to Sony Picture Classics, Allen will follow up the likes of You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, Midnight in Paris, To Rome with Love, Blue Jasmine, and Magic in the Moonlight with his latest, Irrational Man. The studio also announced that they've acquired North American distribution rights for the film, which stars Joaquin Phoenix, Parker Posey, If I Stay's Jamie Blackley, and Woody's newest model smokey-voiced muse, Emma Stone. Plot details aren't yet being released, but I'm going to hypothesize that Phoenix just might be so irrational as to date a woman fourteen years younger than him.
