Though the wildly successful Hunger Games franchise is wrapping up before the end of the year, Lionsgate has come up with an innovative way to continue stretching out their series beyond even its prolonged finale: they'll just keep making more of these things. As announced today by Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer, the studio has plans to expand on the Fifty Shades of Grey path of fan-fiction-to-film by venturing beyond the Hunger Games novels with newly made-up stories about how shitty it is to live in Panem. Feltheimer told analysts his company is "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities," but further details on those possibilities are not yet available. Still, there's nothing to stop us from imagining Josh Hutcherson could get his own spin-off series in which he uses his camouflage skills to catch would-be sexual predators. It would be called The Peeta Files.
