Military Sniper Movie Begets Military Sniper Miniseries

February 2, 2015

The Weinstein Company is getting in on that hot new trend of watching someone shoot people from afar. According to Deadline, the studio has bought the television rights to The Reaper, a sniper autobiography notable for not including any parts where he claims to have punched a pro wrestler. The book focuses on Nicholas Irving, the U.S. Army 3rd Ranger Battalion's deadliest and first African-American sniper. TWC's plan is to adapt the story into a five-night miniseries. Perfect for the person who saw American Sniper and thought, "Hey, I could go for more of that every night this week!"
