'Tales from the Darkside' Reboot Gets Pilot Order at CW

February 3, 2015

Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality. But... there is, unseen by most, an underworld... a place that is just as real, but not as brightly lit... because its lighting budget is considerably lower than other networks. It's the CW, and that's where a Tales from the Darkside remake just got a pilot order.

The reboot comes from Joe Hill, creator of Locke and Key and son of Stephen King, who also sort of has his foot in the door in the horror industry. Like the original Tales from the Darkside--and like the similar show Jamie Foxx is planning--it will be an episodic, anthology-style series that tells an entirely new, spooky story with different casts each week. And at last, the episode The Word Processor of the Gods will be updated with modern magic technology of the Gods. Maybe a Watch That Syncs with Your Smartphone of the Gods, or an Electronic Self-Programming Thermostat of the Gods.
