Never one to make anything about Twin Peaks too straightforward, David Lynch is now calling into question whether his belated follow-up season is actually going to happen. Though Lynch last October confirmed that they were making nine more episodes of Twin Peaks for Showtime, apparently talks between the director and the network aren't going so well.
During a Q&A last Friday, Lynch reportedly (via) cast doubt on whether the new run will actually come together, saying he's "not sure" due to some "complications." Those complications? A contract, it seems. Today, Lynch told Australia's The Mix, "I haven't returned yet, and we're still working on the contract, but I love the world of Twin Peaks and I love those characters. And I think it will be very special to go back into that world."
