Like an increasing number of Hollywood puppets with already-successful film careers, the Muppets are heading back to the small screen to get in on this golden age of television thing. According to THR, ABC is preparing to shoot a proof-of-concept pilot of sorts in the hopes of sending a The Muppet Show reboot to series. The Big Bang Theory co-creator Bill Prady is co-writing with Anger Management writer Bob Kushell, who would also serve as showrunner should this get picked up. In classic Muppet fashion, the revival would see the Muppets themselves pitching a meta revival to ABC but having a hard time getting Miss Piggy on board due to her turbulent relationship with Kermit. It's said the series would also introduce the new characters of Fozzie's girlfriend and her parents. So if you thought Fozzie's routines were bad before, just wait until they now all begin with, "So, anybody here in a relationship?"
