'Wonder Woman' Has a Director Again

April 16, 2015

Just two days out from losing potential Wonder Woman director Michelle MacLaren over "creative differences," Warner Bros. has already locked down the most on-the-nose replacement possible: a different director with experience in television and creative conflicts over a godly, beautifully-maned superhero. THR reports that the studio has closed a deal to bring on Patty Jenkins, the Monster director who years ago was attached to direct Marvel's Thor: The Dark World before "creative differences" ended that arrangement. Should everyone finally be able to find a creative middle-ground for just how often Wonder Woman should lasso someone with her magic, golden rope, Jenkins will direct Gal Gadot in the film for a 2017 release.
