In a dramatic turn we all kind of saw coming, The Mindy Project has found a new, exclusive partner in someone it's already been working with since the beginning. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sitcom is likely making the shift from being sent to Hulu post-broadcast to being produced for and heading straight to the streaming service. Though nothing has yet been made official, it's said Fox is not renewing the series, which has scored critically but failed to rise in the ratings. Apparently it's been playing pretty well on Hulu, though, so now Universal Television is in talks to keep it going there. Should negotiations work out, The Mindy Projects will continue for another two seasons, thus sparing Mindy Kaling the painful effort of herself stretching it out across 1,900 Nationwide commercials.
