Though the Full House reunion series Fuller House will answer many un-asked questions about the future of the sitcom's family, it seems the question of whether "you got it, dude," will forever linger, because Michelle Tanner won't be back. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have opted out of reprising the role that as children they shared, swapping out depending on which Bob Saget was most visibly angry at.
"Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," executive producer Robert L. Boyett told the trade. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors."
It's not clear if this means "Full House Without Michelle" is now considered canon.
