Like a teen melodrama actor shot and reborn as a completely-accepted rapper, Degrassi will rise again from cancelation to become a Netflix series. Netflix today announced that, with MTV Canada and TeenNick dropping Degrass: The Next Generation, Canada's perennial after-school special will get its latest revival on the streaming service next year as Degrassi: Next Class. Like in its last iteration, the series will reportedly deal with high school issues of homophobia, racism, substance abuse, violence, sexuality, body issues, and dating in the social media age. And, in keeping with more modern teenage trends, it will also presumably deal with the evil demons that are now running rampant thanks to the "Charlie Charlie" Challenge. If you don't know what that is, then you definitely should not still be watching Degrassi.
