Kenneth Branagh Blissfully Daydreams of Directing 'Murder on the Orient Express' Remake

June 17, 2015

His thoughts of ponies and princesses fading with his Cinderella's box office, Kenneth Branagh's playful brain is now turning to the delights of a choo-choo train. The Wrap reports that Branagh's dreamy gaze has fallen to an adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic Murder on the Orient Express. Previously adapted in 1974 with Albert Finney in the lead, the story sees Christie's famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot investigating the death of an American tycoon killed on a rail trip. It's said 20th Century Fox is in negotiations with Branagh to direct the new take, but as usual, talks are constantly being sidetracked by Branagh imagining which cute boy might ask him to prom.
