Dollar-Hungry Netflix Wants Another Dollar from Us

Insisting that they just need enough so they can get a soda to wash down their Gardetto's, perpetually mooching media company Netflix is yet again asking us for another dollar. Though Netflix just last May raised prices from $7.99 to $8.99, they're reportedly now bumping it up again, asking new subscribers in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America to pay $9.99 a month for the standard account.

In a statement, the company explained that the hike will allow them "to continue adding more TV shows and movies including many Netflix original titles." Current subscribers will retain their current pricing for another 12 months, and, as always, it remains free to chill.
