Wildly confusing Mom, just when she was starting to form a loose understanding of the difference between "transvestite" and "transgender," Laverne Cox has signed on to play self-described "sweet transvestite" Dr. Frank N. Furter in Fox's Rocky Horror Picture Show adaptation. Variety reports that the Orange Is the New Black star will take over the role made famous by Tim Curry in the remake, which is being directed, choreographed, and executive produced by High School Musical's Kenny Ortega. The two-hour special will air in 2016, to be followed by a frustrating two-hour talk from Mom about how much simpler things used to be.
