Sort of the giddy counterpoint to Barton Fink, Hail, Caesar! is set in Hollywood's Golden Age, focusing on a big studio's "head of physical production," Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin). Studio star George Clooney has been kidnapped and held for ransom, putting a halt on shooting of the titular film, and as a fixer and fellow lantern-jaw, it's up to Brolin's Mannix to sort it out. Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Frances McDormand, and Alden Ehrenreich co-star, and as a Coen comedy with said description, it looks even more like what you'd hope than you'd hope.
Have a look below for a first look at Brolin doing one of the best "scampering away with briefcase clutched to chest"s ever recorded.
