Lyft Offering Free DeLorean Rides for 'Back to the Future'

Get ready for a trip back... to the time when Uber offered free DeLorean rides, because now Lyft is going to do that too. The ride-request company has announced that, tomorrow only, they're teaming with Verizon for an event they're calling "#WhyNotWednesday"--apparently in response to the question, #WhenShouldWeDoOurLatestCorporateTie-InWithBackToTheFuture?" Wednesday is 10/21/15--the date Marty McFly travels to in Back to the Future, Part II--so New York City Lyft users will be offered a special "McFly Mode" that will give the chance to take a free, 15-minute ride in a DeLorean. The deal will be available only from 11 AM to 5 PM, and exclusively in Manhattan. Because where we're going, we don't need roads, but it's still annoyingly difficult to get drivers to go out to the boroughs.
