In a rather baffling move, Warner Bros. has decided to let the guy who wrote Dark Shadows and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter make his directorial debut on a big budget superhero tentpole. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seth Grahame-Smith has been offered the job of both writing and directing The Flash, Warner's film take on the high-speed comic book character that sometimes fights a gorilla. Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have already written a treatment for the movie, and it wouldn't be surprising if they're the ones who got Grahame-Smith in for this, either, as they recently hired him on to write the Lego Batman movie they're producing. We Need To Talk About Kevin's Ezra Miller is already signed to play the title hero, and the film is due to come out on March 3, 2018. I can't wait to see him do his magic jogging!
