'The Notebook' Director To Take on 'Road House' Remake

Having already tackled matters of the heart and heartbreak, the director of The Notebook is now moving on to matters of the throat and throat-rips. According to THR, director Nick Cassavetes has signed on to direct MGM's planned remake of Road House, the 1989 cult classic in which Patrick Swayze literally tears a dude's throat out of his neck. Fighter-turned-actor Ronda Rousey is already attached to star in the film, taking on Swayze's role as the coolest bouncer ever. Cassavetes is also attached to write the film, so someone better let him know about the counterintuitive relationship between pain and hurting...
