Weekend Box Office: No One Interested in Witch Hunting, Live-Action 'Jem', Another Steve Jobs Movie

October 26, 2015

Well, for the third time in four weeks, Matt Damon: Mars Squatter has topped the box office--and it's not for a lack of options. The Last Witch Hunter, Jem and the Holograms, Rock the Kasbah, and apparently another Paranormal Activity all opened over the weekend, while Oscar contender Steve Jobs expanded nationwide. But it seems that, for audiences, one Steve Jobs movie was enough. One Jem was enough. Five--jeez, is it really five?--five prior Paranormal Activities was enough. And at the end of the weekend, only Vin Diesel Hates Wiccans even managed to crack into the top five. Here's how it went down:

1. The Martian - $15.9 million

2. Goosebumps - $15.5 million

3. Bridge of Spies - $11.4 million

4. The Last Witch Hunter - $10.8 million

5. Hotel Transylvania 2 - $9 million
