Still lingering around like the scent of a dozen or so sweaty old men, the Expendables series is getting another sequel. Variety reports that a fourth chapter will shoot next year for a premiere already penciled in for 2017.
Though, domestically, the franchise has grown tired just as quickly as its cast--the first film made over $100 million versus the third's sub-$40 million haul--worldwide it has depreciated far less. In the hopes of bringing international grosses up even higher, it's thought that, like an increasing number of big budget films, Expendables 4 will film at least partly in China. Director and cast are not yet set, but come on, they HAVE to get David Hyde Pierce this time, right?
