Jean-Claude Van Damme Finally Gets Own Half-Hour Sitcom

Assumedly operating under the same logic that made Frasier an "Expendable," Scott Free Productions is giving Jean-Claude Van Damme a half-hour sitcom. Deadline reports that the company has put into development Jean-Claude Van Johnson, a series that Ridley Scott says "would show the martial arts and film star in a new light that would surprise fans." Like with another project that showed him in a new light--the 2008 Belgian crime drama JCVD--Van Damme would play himself, though here he would also be "the most dangerous undercover private contractor in the world," working under the alias "Johnson."
