Denying Gosling the pleasure of doing some more intense, quiet brooding, Alexander Skarsgård has taken the non-speaking lead role in Duncan Jones's next film, Mute. Also joining the film? Rudd!
Jones has been working on the sci-fi thriller for a dozen years now--which may explain why he's eager to get started already when he likely hasn't even finished next summer's Warcraft yet--and it's set in Berlin four decades in the future. Skarsgård will reportedly play a mute bartender on the hunt for a missing woman--his only clue being a pair of American surgeons, one of whom is Paul Rudd.
