Having already worked a few shifts over at General Hospital, James Franco is advancing to the next stage of over-the-top melodrama with a Lifetime movie. Vulture reports that Franco is teaming with Lifetime for a remake of the fantastically-titled 1996 TV movie Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?. Like so many a Lifetime movie (though this was originally on NBC), the film sees a girl (Tori Spelling) who thinks she has the ideal boyfriend but, in fact, is dating a murderous psychopath. It's said Spelling may return to now play the mother of the girl who wants to sleep with danger. Because who doesn't love a good passing of the torch, and having that torch be the penis of a crazy man?
