30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock are teaming with their executive producer-writer Jack Burditt for a series about one of the NFL's leggiest players, the humble kicker. Created by Burditt--who also, yeck, created Tim Allen's Last Man Standing--the comedy reportedly "centers on an oddball athlete who drives his family, friends and strangers insane after he unexpectedly finds himself cut from his professional football team." Clearly, it's based on the urban legend that old kickers are not ground up and fed to young kickers. Because old kickers definitely are ground up and fed to young kickers.
CBS has already ordered the series a pilot. It's called The Kicker, which is weird, because Burditt's Last Man Standing actually had an episode with the obviously superior title "Here's the Kicker," so it's not like he didn't think of that.
