'Cloverfield' Sequel Apparently Already Shot, Has Trailer

Almost eight years to the day since Cloverfield hit theaters alongside signs saying Cloverfield might make you barf, a trailer for the long-awaited sequel has just turned up online and in theaters. Apparently shot and largely developed in secret, as is producer J.J. Abrams' wont, the film sees Mary Elizabeth Winstead and The Newsroom's John Gallagher Jr. holed up in a bunker with a belligerent, domineering John Goodman, who warns them that a chemical attack has left Earth uninhabitable. At last, the franchise has its Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, but presumably with a literal monster instead of just a Jane Krakowski character. It's called 10 Cloverfield Lane.
