In their latest attempt at creating a more diverse television lineup, Fox has ordered a pilot about today's modern, on-the-go, demon-possessed girl. Variety reports that the network is remaking 1973's The Exorcist (modernly known as "👧💨🍵👹") as a serialized, hour-long psychological-thriller. It's described as a "modern reinvention" of the 1971 novel of the same name, "following two very different men tackling one family's case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil." In updating the story, now, instead of a performing exorcism, the family will simply be educated in accepting their daughter's transition to another place on the good-evil spectrum.
