George Miller Says He's Done Making 'Mad Max' Movies

January 12, 2016

As it so often goes with someone who rekindles an old, longterm relationship from their past, George Miller is calling things off again with Mad Max now that he's been reminded what a bitch it is.

"I won't make more Mad Max movies," the director told Page Six. "[Fury Road] was forever getting completed. If you finish one in a year, it's considered a leap of faith. Start, stop, start again.

"I've shot in Australia in a field of wild flowers and flat red earth when it rained heavily forever," Miller said of a terrible getaway the two took together. "We had to wait 18 months and every return to the US was 27 hours. Those Mad Maxes take forever. I won't do those anymore."

Though just a few months ago Miller seemed to imply he would be with Mad Max for quite a while longer, it's thought this change of heart may have happened as a result of the film really embarrassing him when they went out for fancy drinks last Sunday.
