'90s KIDS REJOICE! Or possibly despair, depending on how you feel about the tepidly-reviewed catalogue Jared Hess has been building since Napoleon Dynamite. According to Deadline, Paramount and Nickelodeon have set Hess to direct Nicktoons, a film that will bring together the various beloved animated properties of Nick's past. Hess and his wife-collaborator Jarusha are writing the project, and thought it was previously described as being an "Avengers-esque team-up," it's now said to be more in the vein of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The Angry Beavers, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Aaahh! Real Monsters, and Rugrats are already confirmed to be a part of the film. Except for Phil and Lil, of course, who died in a murder-suicide in 2004. RIP, tiny DeVilles.
