'Jumanji' Remake To Be Helmed by 'Sex Tape' Director

January 15, 2016

Good news if you've been hoping to see Jumanji take the shape of a raunchy Cameron Diaz-Jason Segel vehicle. That's now as much a possibility as it will ever be, as Deadline is reporting that Sex Tape and Bad Teacher director Jake Kasdan has come on to direct Sony's wildly unnecessary Jumanji remake. There's not yet a cast in place to trample over your memories of Robin Williams, but the film does already have a Christmas Day release planned. It also has a script from Kangaroo Jack writer Scott Rosenberg and Amazing Spider-Man 2 writer Jeff Pinkner--a duo already well-versed in making rhinos and other exotic animals incredibly boring.
