Just days after being quoted as saying he "won't make more Mad Max movies," director George Miller has now clarified that, actually, he will definitely make more Mad Max movies. So that's a bit of a mix-up.
"That was a completely garbled interview. I was in New York and it was so noisy and the journalist was asking me questions on a red carpet at the National Board of Review," Miller told The Wrap. "She completely got the wrong fragments of information that were just not true. I said no, [another Mad Max movie] will not be next, and she took that to mean I never wanted to make another Mad Max. It won't necessarily be next, but I have two more stories."
Miller has previously said that he'd like to do a smaller project next, so before we get a Fury Road follow-up, you can expect a more intimate film. Maybe about a pajama-clad freak who plays an acoustic flaming guitar.
