Look Back at Miniseries of the Past with History's 'Roots' Trailer

Looking back to the dark period in American history that was the late '70s, History Channel has remade Roots, the Golden Globe-, Emmy-, and Peabody Award-winning miniseries that starred LeVar Burton as Kunta Kinte. Now Malachi Kirby takes on that role, starring alongside Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Anika Noni Rose, Anna Paquin, T.I. and Matthew Goode. For those who don't know about Roots: it's a heavy drama about slavery. Don't go in expecting a full performance by The Roots. It's only a brief performance, at the very end.
