At last outdoing rival NBC for "most tastelessly sad attempt to relive the '90s," CBS is going to re-open the case of JonBenet Ramsey. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a younger generation will at last get the chance to feel deeply uncomfortable with a pageant child's murder thanks to an anthology true-crime series akin to Netflix's Making a Murderer. Taking a cue from the The People v. O.J. Simpson, the first season will dig up some mid-'90s anti-nostalgia by investigating the still-unsolved Ramsey killing, dubiously honoring its victim on the 20th anniversary of her death. By which they mean the 20th anniversary of her living her life as Katy Perry, which you'll soon learn in CBS's hottest new series.
