Well, it seems Michael Keaton has drawn an unfortunate line at only playing a ridiculous, costumed bird-man once. Though it was rumored last week that Keaton was in talks to play a villain--likely the Vulture--in Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Hollywood Reporter's Borys Kit now says that report was premature; apparently talks never got past an initial offer that the actor has refused. And the worst part is, it was probably a really good refusal where Keaton chewed the scenery in just the best way possible.

Still, while the new Spider-Man will be Keaton-free, it will at least have a different elder superhero/Game 6 star amongst its costumed ranks. Kit also reports that Robert Downey Jr. has signed on to reprise his role as Tony Stark in the film. Together at last, Iron Man and Spidey will be teaming up to fight: Aunt May's uneasy preconceptions about a rich, middle-aged man hanging out with her teenage boy.
