'Battle Angel Alita' Adaptation Finally Has a Star, Just in Case That Ever Gets Made

May 27, 2016

Producer James Cameron's Battle Angel Alita adaptation finally has its star, just in case this movie finally gets made after a decade of plodding development. Last year, the project showed sudden signs of life after Cameron handed directorial duties over to Robert Rodriguez, and now, according to Collider, Rodriguez has found his bounty-hunting-cyborg-amnesiac lead in Rosa Salazar--supporting star of such Hunger Games lesser-than follow-ups as Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials and Insurgent. It's all happening! Except that Rodriguez also has a Jonny Quest movie and a Fire & Ice remake he's supposed to do, so maybe not.
