Dwayne Johnson is getting his own Die Hard. But assumedly without the crawling-through-the-ducts parts, because Dwayne Johnson will not fit in a duct.
Deadline reports that Dwayne Johnson, though already attached to a remake of Big Trouble in Little China, has now signed on to a different Chinese tale influenced by a reluctant hero in a tank top. It's said he'll star in "a Die Hard in China-type" action movie to be written and directed by Dodgeball and Central Intelligence writer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber.
Unsurprisingly, given the recent push to make bank in the Chinese film market, Legendary, Universal, Sony, and Paramount are already in a seven-figure bidding war for the project. Here's a look at the sizzle reel that sold them on it:
