Mark and Brian Gunn have reportedly signed on to write Jupiter's Legacy, a film that sounds suspiciously like a Jupiter Ascending sequel that is somehow being made. It's not, though. This is an adaptation of Kick-Ass and Kingsman creator Mark Millar's comic of the same name.
The Gunns--one a cousin and the other brother to Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn--have a history of writing sequels, having collaborated on Bring It on Again, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, and the upcoming Journey 3: From the Earth to the Moon. This, again, is not a sequel, though. This is a post-modern take on superheroes, seeing the self-absorbed millennials of today taking over the hero mantles from their more altruistic parents.
But if you're still interested despite the fact it will not feature Channing Tatum in the role of alien dog-man, you can get a head start on the story right now. Today only, Comixology is offering the digital first volume of the comic for free. Get it here and dishearten at its lack of Mila Kunis as a bee-controlling janitor queen.
