'Tetris' Movie Necessarily Becomes Trilogy

Well, you can stop worrying that the rich, dense story of Tetris will be painfully compressed into but a single film. Speaking to Empire, multiple Mortal Kombat movie producer Lawrence Kasanoff has assured us all that the long-planned Tetris film adaptation will be a three-film series exploring the epic drama of falling brick formations.

"Purely because the story we conceived is so big," Kasanoff said, superfluously explaining why it would take upwards of four-and-a-half hours to tell the tale of Tetris. "This isn't us splitting the last one of our eight movies in two to wring blood out of the stone. It's just a big story."

As for what this Lord of the Rings-level epic story will be, Kasanoff wants it "to be a surprise," but he reasserted that it's "a big science-fiction movie." So this will be based on the part where if you do well, a space shuttle takes off, not the part where when if you do well, little guys dance?
